The WordPress plugin
A countdown block and shortcode for WordPress, free. It works on its own for launch dates, and connects to Evergreen Deadline when you want a deadline for each subscriber.
Without an account
- A countdown to a fixed date and time, in four boxes or one line.
- Content that WordPress itself hides after the date, so it isn't in the page source either:
[evergreen_deadline_before end="2026-12-01 18:00"]...[/evergreen_deadline_before]. - A redirect for a whole page after the date (set in the Evergreen Deadline panel of the editor sidebar).
With a free Evergreen Deadline workspace
- Per-subscriber evergreen deadlines that follow the email address across devices.
- Pick a campaign in the block or in the Evergreen Deadline panel of the editor sidebar; the plugin adds the script and the redirect for you. The block shows your campaign's look and heading right in the editor.
- The Deadline content block shows what's inside it only while a visitor's deadline is running, only after it has ended, or only to people with no deadline (for example a "join my list" box).
- Count sales: tick "This is a thank-you page" in the Evergreen Deadline panel of your thank-you page (with one campaign it's used automatically; with several, pick one), or use the sale shortcode.
Shortcodes
[evergreen_deadline end="2026-12-01 18:00"] [evergreen_deadline campaign="c_abc123" style="inline"] [evergreen_deadline_before end="2026-12-01 18:00"]Offer content[/evergreen_deadline_before] [evergreen_deadline_after end="2026-12-01 18:00"]Sorry, this offer has ended.[/evergreen_deadline_after] [evergreen_deadline_before campaign="c_abc123"]Shown while this visitor's deadline is running[/evergreen_deadline_before] [evergreen_deadline_after campaign="c_abc123"]Shown once their deadline has ended[/evergreen_deadline_after] [evergreen_deadline_none campaign="c_abc123"]Shown to visitors with no deadline[/evergreen_deadline_none] [evergreen_deadline_sale campaign="c_abc123" amount="79" currency="USD"]
Dates use your site's time zone (Settings → General). With end=, WordPress leaves the content out of the page itself after the date. With campaign=, each visitor has their own deadline, so the content is in the page and the script shows the right part for each visitor (and redirects as your campaign says).
Download the plugin (zip, version 1.2.3)
In WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, then Activate. New versions then show up in your Plugins screen like any other plugin's, and you can switch on auto-updates there. We've submitted it to the WordPress.org plugin directory, so you'll also be able to install it from there once it's reviewed.
