Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Checkout Sync (the "Service"), an app for Kit run by Tofu Labs ("we"). By installing or using the Service you agree to them.

The Service

The Service receives webhooks from the checkouts you connect (Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Polar, Stripe) and passes them to your Kit account as purchases, tags and automation events. It can also import past sales from a checkout when you ask it to. The free plan has a monthly limit on sales and starts automations from Bought and Refunded only (test events start all four); paid plans raise the limit and start all four, as shown on the pricing page. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial; you're charged when it ends unless you cancel first.

Your accounts and your customers

You keep control of your Kit and checkout accounts and you're responsible for the emails you send and for having a lawful basis to email your buyers. Give the Service keys with only the permissions our guides ask for. You can disconnect a checkout at any time from your settings, or uninstall the app in Kit.

Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing and refund processing; Tofu Labs answers questions about the Service itself (see Support and the refund policy). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service for spam, for anything unlawful, or to disrupt the Service. Don't try to reach other customers' data.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the Service running, but it's provided "as is", without warranties. Kit and the checkouts are outside our control and their outages can delay events. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it in Kit. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email and refund any unused prepaid time.

Trademarks

Checkout Sync works with Kit and is not made or endorsed by Kit. Kit, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Polar and Stripe are trademarks of their owners.
